The Klein High Sinfonietta Orchestra is one of the freshmen orchestras.  The goal of this orchestra is to focus on strengthening technique and fundamentals as well provide a rigorous musical experience. This orchestra serves as a preparatory ensemble for Philharmonic and Concert Orchestras.

Recommended Level of Ability: It is recommended that all members of this orchestra perform 2 octave C Major, G Major, D Major, F Major and B flat Major scales.  It is encouraged that students in this orchestra take private lessons.

Bow Techniques: Students should be able to demonstrate correct detaché, legato, marcato, and staccato bow strokes.

The Klein High Philharmonic Orchestra is one of our performing orchestras and serves as the preparatory ensemble for both the Camerata and Cambiata Orchestras. 

Recommended Level of Ability: It is recommended that all members of this orchestra play with solid intonation, and be able to perform 3 octave C Major and G Major scales and 2 octave major and minor scales up to 3 sharps and flats. It is highly encouraged that all Philharmonic Orchestra members take private lessons.

The Klein High Camerata Orchestra serves as the preparatory ensemble for Sinfonia and Chamber Orchestras.  Members of this orchestra have a strong technical foundation and work ethic. Members of this orchestra are encouraged to audition for Region Orchestra.

The Klein High Sinfonia Orchestra is one of our higher level performing groups in the program. Members of this group have previously been members of region orchestra in middle school. All members of this orchestra are able to audition for placement into the Klein Symphony Orchestra and audition for Region Orchestra.  

Recommended Level of Ability: It is recommended that all members of this orchestra play with exceptional intonation, and perform 3 octave major and minor scales through 5 sharps and flats. It is highly encouraged that all Sinfonia Orchestra members take private lessons.

The Klein High Chamber Orchestra is one of our higher level performing groups in the program. Members of this group have previously been members of region orchestra in high/middle school. All members of this orchestra are required to participate in the Klein Symphony Orchestra and audition for Region Orchestra. 

Recommended Level of Ability: It is recommended that all members of this orchestra play with exceptional intonation, and perform 3 octave major and minor scales through 5 sharps and flats.  The expectation is that all Chamber Orchestra members take private lessons.

The Klein Symphony Orchestra is our full orchestra performing group. Members of this group are current members of Chamber, Sinfonia, Cambiata and the Wind Ensemble. Members have previously been selected as members of region orchestra in high/middle school. This orchestra meets once a week, after school. All members of this orchestra are required to attend all after school rehearsals. 

Recommended Level of Ability: It is recommended that all members of this orchestra play with exceptional intonation, and perform 3 octave major and minor scales through 5 sharps and flats.
